Greenfield/Belser (G/B) and The Brand Research Company (BRC) have shared a good run lately. In the past six months, our clients have received 27 awards from a variety of sources, including Creativity 39, American Corporate Identity 26 and the Davey Awards. In addition, six websites designed by G/B were recognized for excellence by the WebAwards and W3 Awards. That would have been plenty, but earlier this month, G/B and BRC clients won seven Legal Marketing Association Your Honor Awards (YHAs), among them:
Greenfield/Belser client Gesmer Updegrove LLP took home first place in the competition’s website category. Beyond the creative edge that breaks the law firm positioning mold—think legal excellence—and design convention—globes, courtroom steps, downtown skyscrapers—the Gesmer site is notable for (1) primary navigation that is organized around the client, (2) engaging credentials in the form of entrepreneurial client stories and (3) people navigation that puts Gesmer talent into the creative act with a “Usual Suspects” attorney navigation tool.

Hemenway & Barnes LLP won second place in LMA’s firmwide, office or practice group brochure category. Since “personal” is at the heart of the firm’s service style, we created a brochure with a photo album/scrapbook feel instead of a stodgy, corporate feel. The brochure is stitched with thread, a white frame surrounds each photograph and a slip of paper includes the spread title. And in order to highlight the client/advisor relationship, we included a slip of vellum on each page to showcase services and clients.
Nixon Peabody LLP earned second place for its Client Loyalty Program, which has provided demonstrable ROI in support of the firm’s tactical client value efforts.
Third place to Choate Hall & Stewart LLP (Trade Show Booth), Lewis & Roca LLP (Single Advertisement) and Steptoe & Johnson PLLC (Announcement). In addition, Hemenway & Barnes LLP received honorable mention in LMA’s identity category.
